Three things we do, and we do them properly
Grande Prairie swings from −40°C to +30°C. Cheap glass and cheap adhesive don't survive that, so we don't use them.
Windshield replacement
New glass set with cold-weather-rated adhesive, with the metal and paint prepped so it doesn't rust.
Covers leaks and wind noise for as long as you own the vehicle.
Headlight restoration
Multi-stage wet sanding and polishing, then a UV seal so the lenses stay clear through the winter.
Good add-on to any appointment.
Had a crazy crack in my windshield driving up to Alaska coming from Chicago, saw a sign to repair rock cracks and stopped by. He fixed my glass and I went on my way! Great guy, good price, very much recommend stopping if you need a quick fix!

For a full windshield replacement, yes — the VIN tells us exactly which glass your vehicle takes. You will find it on the driver's-side dashboard or the door jamb sticker. Chip repairs do not need it.
